Richard Markel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Markel (Laurelville, Ohio), born in Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on March 7, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Markel and Goldie Markel; and his daughter Melinda "Mindy" Markel. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Miller; his daughter Melody Young (Todd); his grandchildren, William Young (Kassie) and Brandy Young (Scott Sams); his great grandchildren, Elliott, Eastynn and Brayden; and his nieces and nephews, Nikki, Dillon and Ridge Young.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
