It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Markel of Laurelville, Ohio, born in Kingston, Ohio, who passed away on April 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Darl Miller and Bessie Miller (Wiley); her husband Richard L. "Dick" Markel; her daughter Mindy Markel; and her siblings, Esther Pickelsimer, Florence Andrick, Helen Stant and Dale Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Melody Young (Todd); her grandchildren, William Young (Kassie), Brandy Young (Scott) of Gilbert, AZ, Nikki, Dillon and Ridge Young; her great grandchildren, Elliott, Eastynn Young and Braden Sams; and her brother-in-law Shirley Stant.
