He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Johnson and Mae Johnson (Unger) of South Bloomingville, Ohio.; his wife Pearlina; and his brothers, Dale and Leonard.

He is survived by: his children, Joanie Vannatter (John), Jeff Johnson (Nancy), James Johnson (Rebecca), Jonathan Johnson (Crystal) and Julie Johnson; his grandchildren, Matthew Vannatter (Mindy), Michael Vannatter (Stephanie), MacKenzie Ogan (Ryan), Miles Vannatter, Morgan Vannatter, Jason Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Daniel Johnson (Sarah), Jennifer Carpenter (Phoebe), Joseph Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Jayla Johnson; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabriel Jones, Amadeo, Rilei Vannatter, Kayden Vannatter, Kole Ogan, Aurora Ogan, Joshua Vannatter and Anna Mae Johnson; and his brother Winfield.
