He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Jones and Phyllis Jones (Tatman); his sister Charlotte Danner (Jones); his wife Winona Jones (Tabler); his son Robert Michael Jones; and his son-in-law Kenny Tatman.
He is survived by: his nephew Chick Danner (Gina); his children, Sherry Jones Tatman, Brenda Hart, Richard Jones (Jane), Mark Jones (Tammy), Tim Caldwell (Laura) and James Thurston (Renee); and his grandchildren, Summer Darnell (Nathan), Brandon McNichols (Kara), Brittney Wahl (Jared), Joni Kidwell (Jake), Steven Lemaster, Jesse Morris (Krissy), Joshua Morris (Samantha), Jeremy Shell (Pete), Kristin Jahn, Harlee Buxbaum (Nick), Dalton Thurston, Jessica Thurston (Kevin Woodward), Jayla Thurston (Alex Stebelton), Levi Thurston, Ian Shafer (Nicole) and Adam Shafer (Anita). He is also survived by his numerous great grandchildren, along with many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
