He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leona S. Woodard (Hart) and Richard Jay Hixon; his children, Dale Hixon Jr., David Hixon, Dustin Hixon, Shane Hixon, Richard Hixon (Beretta Forrest), Chantel Ann Hixon (Jeremiah Skaggs) and Denise Blevins (Frank); his siblings, Donald Hixon and Carol Johnson; his stepsiblings, Joann Tabor (Jeff), Tom Woodard and John Woodard (Sissy); his stepchildren, Josh, Zach and Maria Burns; his wife Terri Ann Hixon; his son Brandon Hixon; his brother David Hixon; his grandfather Hollis Hart; his niece Danielle Rowe; his stepfather John Woodard; and his stepbrother Richard Woodard. He was also cherished by fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
