He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bowers and Mable Bowers; and his siblings, George R., John N. and Ruth E. Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Bowers (Decosta); his son Bobby Bowers (Sherry); his son-in-law Jim Hettinger; and his grandchildren, Claudia Oveman (Matt), Alicia Fruehing (Andy), Marissa Andrews (Kyle), Jill Pippy (Josh) and Jason Hettinger. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
