It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Thomas Jr. of Laura, Ohio, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Alva had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Alva may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Thomas Sr. and Bertha Thomas; and his siblings, Kenny Thomas and Joanne Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Barb Thomas; his brother Harold Thomas; his sister-in-law Pat Thomas; and his children, Brian Thomas (Kristie), Abby Shapiro (Ben) and Brad Thomas. He is also survived by grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
