He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Mershon; his sons, Ronald L. Swords Jr. and Dewayne; and his siblings, Gretta Knowlton and Alroy L. Swords Sr.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
