He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bachie and Joan Bachie (Scheid); his brothers, Bobby and Sammy Bachie; and his granddaughter Lacey Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Bachie (Klemm); and his children, Billy Bachie (Crystal), Stephanie Roeder, John Bachie, Joseph Bachie, Elizabeth Thompson II (Charles), Michael Bachie (Hannah) and Sarah Bachie. He is also survived by many grandchildren and a great grandchild.
