He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Frederick Garnes and Pearl Louiotis Doolittle; and his siblings, Willard, Glen, Walter, Delton and Reva.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Garnes; his children, Debbie Ward (Lestel), Connie Halley (Gene), Cindi Vaughan (Tony), Sandy Colbert (John) and Joe Garnes (Shari); and his siblings, Lu Gilmore and Bernard Garnes (Connie). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
