It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Garnes (Langsville, Ohio), born in Salem, Ohio, who passed away on January 15, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Titus Elmer and Alma Eliza Smith (Strong); her husband Joseph William "Bill" Garnes; and her siblings, Dale Smith, Dolores Wallace and Hope Price.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Ward (Lestel), Connie Halley (Gene), Cindi Vaughan (Tony), Sandy Colbert (John) and Joe Garnes (Shari); and her siblings, Corwin Smith (Pat), Lloyd Smith (Mary), Ted Smith (Judy), Paul Smith (Maggie), Larry Smith, John Smith (Linda) and Dott Stewart. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
