He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Crockett of Lancaster, Sandra Travis of Lancaster, Sue Wedge (John) of Fostoria, Jeannie Houdeshell of Newark, Richard Matthews, Jr. of Lancaster, Ronnie Matthews (Crystal) of Lancaster and James L. Starkey, Jr. of Lancaster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
