He was predeceased by : his parents, George A. Groves and Bernadine M. Groves (Franklin); his daughter Vanessa Groves; his parents-in-law, George and Charlene Burnside; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Campbell and Sharon Burnside.

He is survived by : his wife Rena Groves (Burnside); his grandson Jayden Timothy Groves; his siblings, Rosemary Kellenbarger (Marty) and George Thomas Groves (Janet); his close friend John Albertson; and his friend Judy Brison. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
