He was predeceased by: his former wife JoAnn Smith (Watkins); his wife Catherine Smith (Stout); his sister Dorothy Hunsinger; and his grandson Brenden Krannitz. He is survived by: his children, Nancy (Chip Thomas), Jayne (Woody Tingley) and Matthew Smith; his stepchildren, Brett Conrad (Amy) and Kristin (Jamie Garrabrant); his grandchildren, Domonique, Joshua, Paul, JoAnn, Brock, Kelsy, Harley, Isabelle, Louie, Jack, Spencer, Nolan and Brianna; and his great grandchildren, Addlynn and Hayden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County.
