He was predeceased by: his father Robert V. Palmer; and his children, Sonny Palmer, Jarrod Palmer and Natasha Savage. He is survived by: his children, Demitrea G. Palmer (John Kern), Stephanie R. Palmer, Lucretia Garcia, Andrea Palmer, Danielle Beyer and Dan Savage; his mother Arvilla A. Palmer (Negley); and his sisters, Bobette Fultz (Randy) and Annette Palmer Kotvis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“I was so sad to hear of Steve's passing. We met at Olivedale , Lancaster fitness center. He was a very kind man who worked so hard to overcome his prior stroke. I attend fitness classes there daily with my friend . We would see Steve and say Hi and Steve would always ask "How are you ladies doing today" We became friends and I will miss seeing and talking with Steve. My prayers and Sympathy go out to his family. RIP friend! Debby Mort”
