He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Hoelscher and Evelyn L. Hoelscher (Hart); his sons, Zachary Hoelscher and David Hoelscher; his grandsons, Jacob McGuire and Levi McGuire; and his brother Don Holzer.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hoelscher (George); his daughters, Faith McGuire (Joseph) of Lancaster and Jordan Lott (Doug McCune) of Pleasantville; his grandchildren, Chandler, Carter, Jada, Madison, Bentley, Peyton and David; and his mother-in-law Norma George of Lancaster.
