He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cavanaugh and Mary Cavanaugh; his wife Billie Knight; and his siblings, Thomas, James Patrick, John, Donald Cavanaugh and Ruth Miller.
He is survived by: his son Joseph Cavanaugh (Lisa); his sister Dorothy Raymond; and his granddaughters, Quinn Wren (Shane) and Kristine Cavanaugh.
