He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred H. Beyer and Iva M Beyer (Young); his wife Ruth Beyer (Noice); his son Joshua David Beyer; his sisters, Esther Mason (Beyer) and Naomi Beyer; his niece Crystal Miller (Mason); his nephew Mike Dobbie; and his great-nephew Bradley Miller.
He is survived by : his son Brian Schmelzer; his grandchildren, Caitlin Schmelzer and Jerrod Schmelzer; his sister Linda Rowan (Phil); and his brother-in-law William Mason (Bud). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
