He was predeceased by: his wife Marguerite C. Bird; his daughter Luellen Bird Steinmetz; and his brother Randall C. Bird. He is survived by: his son Charles P. Bird (Gail) of Athens, OH; his son-in-law Jay Steinmetz of Bealeton, VA; and his brothers, Robert K. Bird (Shirley) of Hurricane, WV and Eugene A. Bird of St. Albans, WV. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
