It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julie L. Hatzer of Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Julie L. Hatzer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her mother Barbara Birkhimer; her aunts, Cheryl Lozier and Carlotta Mathias; and her grandmothers, Helen Birkhimer and Virginia Lozier.
She is survived by: her husband Tim; her sons, Ryan Hatzer (Kristena) and Jordan Hatzer (Amethyst); her grandchildren, Cloe, Sophia, Eastyn, Lyric, River, Gwendolyn and Scarlett; her brother-in-law Jeff Hatzer (Lori); her sister Teresa Mathias; her nephews, Colin Householder (Jessica) and Kyle; her niece Ashley Householder; her great-nephew Belin; her close friends, Uvette Gibson Barnett and Jodi Butsko; and her friend Tauwanta Corns.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel - Lancaster (405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home (405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lancaster Eagles (1936 E Main St, Lancaster, OH 43130).
In lieu of flowers: Julie asked for donations to be sent to the ALS foundation to find a cure for this horrible disease.
