He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boice and Fern Boice; his daughter Penny Vanderwerf; and his siblings, Bobby, Curtis Boice, Mary Elizabeth Reese, Priscilla Conte, Alice Louise Rambo and Melinda Sue Serafini.
He is survived by: his wife Patty; his sons, Ed Boice (Melissa) of Lancaster and David Boice (Kristen) of Carroll; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Malea, Jesse and Cory. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
