He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Dell Butler; his parents, Emil Butler and Ruth Butler; and his sisters, Donna Braskett and Rosemary Huston.
He is survived by: his children, Charla Connors (Matt), Paula Corbett (Mark Orcutt), Nola Clark (Richard), Emil "Pete" Butler and Johnny Butler; and his sisters, Madeline Hicks and Dorothy Hughes. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
