He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon Saylor and Flora Davis Saylor; and his wife Betty Jo Saylor. He is survived by: his children, Jim Saylor Jr., Cathy Perkins and Gary Saylor; and his sister Doshia Fee. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He taught himself a great deal about building and repairing computers, often donating his completed projects to charity.
