We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, Gordon Snider of Lancaster, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Louise Snider; his parents, Dr. James Snider and Rose Snider; and his brothers, Billie and James R. Snider (Lya).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Katherine Nevins (Jim), Cynthia S. Pearsall (Art), John M. Snider (Mary), James G. Snider (Tammy) and Martha S. Downs (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Ilene Crabtree (Kevin), Sarah, Kate Smiley, James Snider (Kaily), Mark, Jeffrey Snider, Melissa, Bryan Downs (Kelley), Abigail, Mary Grace, Gordon, Aubrey Crabtree, Sienna and Miles Snider.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sheridan Funeral Home (222 S Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption Church (132 S High St, Lancaster, OH 43130).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130, OR Fisher Catholic High School, 1803 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130.
