He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Karns and Shirley Karns; his siblings, Sally, Larry and Jim; and his granddaughters, Clementine and Frankie Baxter.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Karns (Perry); his children, Beverly Stebelton (Jim), Diana Bush (Kevin), Micky Dilley (Gregory), Randy Karns (Misti), Larry Karns, Wendee Hamilton and George Karns Jr. (Sharleen); and his siblings, Linda Brode, Monte Karns and Bette Campbell. He is also survived by 7 children, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
