It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edna Wachter of Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 96, on June 17, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Edna may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her husband William Wachter; her children, Sharon A. Carper and William R. Wachter; her parents, Thomas Vickroy and Emma Vickroy; and her son-in-law Thomas Carper.

She is survived by : her daughter Sandra Wachter; her granddaughter Rella Carper; and her great grandchild Olexa Dorwart (Josh Blake) of Lancaster. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel (405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
