He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward West and Sallie West (Stober); and his brothers, Greg, Robert and Tom.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his father-in-law Arrond Scott; and his children, Josh Shreve (Agata), Jess McCutcheon (Will), Glenn West and Abbey West. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
