He was predeceased by: his mother Judith K. Stoneburner (Matthews); and his daughter Tabitha South. He is survived by: his father John J. South (Tenina); his children, Shay South, Douglas and John Rager; his stepchildren, Jaron Young and Jenee Lemaster; his siblings, Mike, David, Bryan, Jeff, Greg, Stephanie, Tasha and Jennifer; and his close friend Amber Groff. He is also survived by several grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.
