He was predeceased by: his parents, John Funk and Blanche Funk; and his siblings, John, Paul, Richard and Trudy.
He is survived by: his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Barb Foster Funk; his daughter Cheryl Funk Hurst of Phoenix, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Brad, Doug, Greg Funk and N. Hurst. He is also survived by 3 great-granddaughters.
He propagated many pin oak and chestnut oak trees which he donated to many friends and organizations.
