It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Mae Smith of Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Charles and Susie May Sweeney (VanSickle); her husband William A. Smith; her son William A. Smith Jr.; her children-in-law, Carl Furness and Juliann Thompson Smith; and her sisters, Violet Sweeney, Cleo Sweeney, Catherine Longstreth, Idell McCarty, Nellie Carlow and June Sweeney.
She is survived by: her caregiver Corps; and her children, Charles Smith of Canal Winchester, Kathleen Furness of Lancaster, Bruce Smith (Kathy) of Lancaster, John Smith (Cara) of Canal Winchester, Robert Smith (Judy Gerber) of New Albany, Cynthia Smith-Vollhardt of Lancaster, Diane Beckmann (Gary) of Blacklick, James Smith of Ravenna, Louis Smith of Cambridge, Rebecca Schillig (Mark) of Pataskala, Nicholas Smith (Amy) of Sabina, Susan Kass (John) of Ada and Laura Strittmatter (David) of Lancaster. She is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
