She was predeceased by: her spouse Palmer Smith; her son James (Elizabeth); her great grandchild Oliver; and her brothers, James Newman (Betty Ann) and Donald Newman (Iris).
She is survived by: her children, Donna Leary (late Alex), Thomas (Toni), Mary Beth and Roger (Lisa); her grandchildren, Patrick (late Laurel), Michele Poelking (Jason), Michael (Kelly), Elizabeth, Joseph (Nichole), James (Marija), Hannah Sharnsky (Brian), Zacharias, Brok (Gina), Luke and Calum; and her great grandchildren, Madeline, Julia, Benjamin, Morgan, Annabel, Nathan, Jameson and Alexandra.
