He was predeceased by: his parents, John Biel and Mary Biel; his wife Patricia McGivern; and his daughter Kolleen Biel. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Biel-Goebel (late Jack) and Klaudia BielCassarino (James); his grandchildren, JJ Biel-Goebel (Diana), Tricia Biel-Goebel (Brad), Margaret Alice Biel-Goebel (Sam), Brianna Biel-Goebel (Jason), Nathan BielCassarino, Natalee Balseiro (Leo), Joseph BielCassarino and Dylan BielCassarino (Sierra); and his great grandchildren, Neville, Ronan, Emile, Fox, Nora, Remy, Bennett and Aria. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
