She was predeceased by: her husband Carl "Blackjack" Smith; her daughter Karen Whipple; and her parents, Wade Edwards and Hilda Edwards. She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Lemasters (Edwards); her children, Susan Morley, Sandy Lay, Beverly Noll, Michelle Carpenter (Mark) and Carla Chedid (George); and her siblings, Clifford Edwards (Doris), Wade Edwards (Katherine), Vera Edwards, Hilda Edwards and Daniel Edwards (Narissa).
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Society of the Blind.
