He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Zbin and Mary Zbin; and his sister Mary LaLonda. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Zbin; his children, Karen Hallman (Joseph), Kenneth Zbin and Kurt Zbin (Janet Kipple); his grandsons, Joseph Hallman, Jr., Justin Hallman and Jacob Zbin; his daughter-in-law Joan Zbin; and his siblings, Paul Zbin, Anna Bodde, Josephine Gregg, Margaret Rutkowski and Albert Zbin (Helen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
