He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Brown and Dessie Sabra Brown (Robirds); his children, Cheryl Ann Clark, James Willard Brown, Debra Lock, Terry Nichols and Willard Newton Brown, Jr.; and his siblings, Ernest Edward Robirds, James Jefferson Brown and Mary Catherine Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Lemaster; his children, Dawn Smothers (Bill) of Geyer, Pam Shepherd of Wapak and Jerry Nichols (Marilyn) of Lima; and his sisters, Lou Herron of Wapak and Betty Kohli of St. Mary's. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.
