She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Howell and Hazel Scott Howell; her husband Frank McDermit; and her siblings, Murrell Howell, Charlie Howell, Gene Howell and Twila Howell.
She is survived by: her son Bryan McDermit (Jennifer) of Bellefontaine, OH; her grandchildren, Hazel, Gabriel and Willow; and her sisters, Dorris Mills of Russells Point, OH and Donna Jean. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
