He is survived by: his parents, Darlene LaWarre and Larry Miller; his wife Rita Thatcher (Reinemeyer); his children, Eric Thatcher (Erica) of Radford, Virginia, Renee Metzger (Justin) of Huntsville and Sarah Thatcher; his grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Laura Metzger, Braden and Lillian Thatcher; his grandmother Marjorie Remines (Sandkuhl) of Saint Marys, Ohio; and his siblings, Mike LaWarre (Patti) of Roundhead, Joe LaWarre (Anna) of Kenton, Calvin LaWarre of Saint Marys, Christina Van Auken of Georgetown, Angie Werling (Ed) of Harrod, Tiffany Miller of Lima, Kelli Miller of Harrod and Ashley Wildermuth (Brian) of Lima. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the first death related to COVID-19 in Logan County.
