She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ferguson and Mary Ferguson; and her siblings, Marian Miller (Lowell), Bill (Kate), Ray and Larry.
She is survived by: her husband George Metz; her daughters, Deborah Tussing of Jackson Center, OH and Melinda Mattox (Taylor) of Gahanna, OH; her stepchildren, Stephanie Boyer (John) of Gadsden, AL and Jeff Metz (Pam) of Bennington, IN; and her grandchildren, Scott Baker (Kelli), Matthew Tussing, Julia Mattox and Caroline Mattox. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to state COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, attendees are asked to be symptom free and wear a facial covering.
Memorial contributions may be given in Joanne's name to Indian Lake Community Church.
