She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Wischmeyer (Dennis) of Lakeview, OH, Joyce Smith (Bill) of Benton, LA, Janet Best (Gorden) of Stokesdale, NC, Bonnie Weidner of New Braunfels, TX, Marlene Rapp (Bryan) of Columbus, OH, Susan Honcharuk (David Gobble) of Greenfield, IN, Irene Hernandez (Johnny) of San Antonio, TX and Laura Vazquez (Jose) of Shreveport, LA.; her siblings, Margaret Stechschulte, Blanche Stechschulte, Helen Aelker (Bill), Gib Schroeder (Judy), Leo Schroeder (Rita), Dan Schroeder (Jeanie), Mary Wildenhaus (Bob), Kate Verhoff and Annie Dotzauer (Jimmy); and her siblings-in-law, Teresa Borgelt, Walter and Janet Maag. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her honor to Saint Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, PO Box 329, Russells Point, OH 43348, a charity Joanne was particularly fond of.
