She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Ihnat and Veronica Ihnat (Dziak); her husband Lawrence E. Benya; and her brother Emil Ihnat (Nancy). She is survived by: her sons, John M. Benya (Kathleen) of Sylvania, OH and Brian R. Benya (Laura) of Spring Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Nicholas Benya of Sylvania, Alison Mondrach (Darin) of Naples, FL, Beth Benya of Spring Hill, FL and Carrie Benya of Spring Hill, FL; and her great grandchildren, Aron, Robin Benya, Madalyn, Macoy and Mayer Mondrach.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Peninsula Chapel (7755 E Harbor Rd, Lakeside Marblehead, OH 43440). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Byzantine Church (506 E Main St, Lakeside Marblehead, OH 43440).
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church or donor's choice.
