He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Grant and Bertha Louise Bower (Smith); his daughter Christine Louise Bower; and his brother Louis Bower. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Edna Bower (Porter); his children, Richard L. Bower Jr. of Warren, Cindy Green (Michael) of Niles and Julia Sylvester (Jay) of Niles; and his grandchildren, John, Sarah, Mallory, Lauren, Chrissy and Hannah.
