She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Long and Mary Jane Long; and her husband Ron Malmfeldt. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Sites (Sherm Archer) and Ronnie; her daughter-in-law Samantha Malmfeldt; her grandchildren, Kayla Morrison (Brennen), Lola Malmfeldt and Landon Malmfeldt; her great grandchild Miles Morrison; and her siblings, Beth Johnson (Paul Magada), Robert Long (Linda) and James Long (Maureen). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Cathy was actively involved in many different American Cancer Society programs including the Relay for Life and Look Good Feel Better.
