He is survived by: his children, Linda McClelland (Jim) of LaGrange, Sherill Shiplett (Gene) of Sagamore Hills, William C. Axford III of LaGrange and Timothy Joe Axford of LaGrange; and his brother Melvin "Bud" Axford.
