With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth L. Sooy of Lagrange, Ohio, born in Lodi, Ohio, who passed away on July 28, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence and Edna; his stepmother Bertha Sooy; his sister Phyllis Webb (Sooy); his brother-in-law Jim Webb; and his parents-in-law, George and Lois Chorak.

He is survived by: his wife Jan; his brothers, Keith Sooy (Pat) and Tom Sooy (Trish); his children, Kim Jorgensen (John), Amy Fitzgerald (Bert), Scott Sooy (Maria), Jim Piazza (Debbie), Juliana Gusmaó and Justin Ramsey (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Drew Fitzgerald (Ashley), Troy Piazza, Collin Fitzgerald and Blake Haselberger.

“I was aware the old part of the Keystone High School was being torn down. As I drove into the parking lot to take a few pictures of the machines tearing down the building full of memories I saw a person also watching the destruction from his truck. I pulled alongside to see who, like me was showing interest in what was happening. It was Ken Sooy who said hi, and remembered me that I graduated with his brother Kieth, "Butch" Sooy. He told me he came there every morning to watch the tare down.”
