He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale F. Valk and Ruby Edwards Valk; his sister Penelope "Penny" Valk Halliwill; and his brother-in-law Gary Halliwill. He is survived by: his nephews, Dale L. Halliwill (Tania), Scott W. Halliwill (Kathy) and Mark E. Halliwill (Kimberly); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley Halliwill Mayle (Todd), Preslie Halliwill, Tristen Halliwill and Paige Halliwill; and also, Ava Mayle and Ethan Mayle.
