As Vance departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vance may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vance leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Ray and Lura Mae Houston (Rhodes); his wife Gloria J. Houston (Mort); his children, Vivesa E. Slygh and Vance A. Houston, Jr.; and his granddaughter Samantha Houston.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald "Jerry" Houston (Renita) of La Rue, OH, Kevin D. Houston of Vaughnsville, OH and Micah R Houston of Lima; and his granddaughter Brooklynne Slygh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
