He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Roberts and Ruth Kathryn Kelly Roberts; his wife Deborah Derksen; and his siblings, Bill, Jim Roberts and Janet Cade.

He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Ann Staten; his children, Kelly Kathaleen (Donnie) and Kenneth Scott (Gayle); his grandchildren, Maggie Schueler (Jake), Caleb Ball (Abby), Stephen Ball, Benjamin Ball, Jenna Danner (Zach), Kyla Roberts, Laken Brown, Trevor Ripberger and Taylor Ripberger; his great grandchildren, Clark Schueler, Nimai, Zaina, Jaxon, Rylee Danner and Lincoln Glodrey; his close friend Nancy Hendrickson; and his sister Shirley Saunders. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews; and countless friends.

"In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Ken's church, Blessed Hope Baptist Church.".
