He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry, Sr. and Dana Gullett-Hensley (Cole); his son Payton Jenkins; and his siblings, Charles Lee Gullett, John Henry Gullett, Jr., Alfred Eugene Rife, Barbara Jean Imes and Marilyn Ann Silcott.
He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Mullins of Pedro, Ohio. and Maralynda "Peanut" Wilburn of Pedro, Ohio.; and his children, Ben, Joe Love of Ironton, Salena of Michigan, Mary of Michigan and Anna Simons of Michigan.
