She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Russell Van Buren; her son Donald Van Buren; her brother Eugene Burton Stewart; and her stepsisters, Sybil and Shirley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna, Dianna and Debra; her grandchildren, Virginia Leon (Victor), Dustin, Jason Van Buren and Shalala Ohlman; her great grandchildren, Ariela and Iris; and her pet Murphy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
