He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph "Rudy" Franklin and Eleanor Franklin (McCartney); his brothers, Lonnie Franklin and Mark Franklin; and his sister-in-law Wilma Gress.
He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Franklin of North Carolina, Lisa Franklin and Joy Stephens (Thomas) of Kipling; and his friend Jeff Mason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
